on to the lower ball joint

on to the lower ball joint

so now I'm working on the lower ball joint - seems to be stuck in there pretty good - any ideas on where to go from here?

ive been trying a pickle fork - the bottom bolt of the ball joint doesn't thread into the knuckle does it? I already removed the nut there too....

no pickle forks SUCK. No the balljoint is tapered to sit in the hole there.

Get a Tie Rod End (TRE) puller works double duty for ball joints AND TRE's. They're inexpensive too. Make sure that you put that nut back on before you put the puller on. ALSO, sometimes they just don't start coming off and you may have to tighten, tap with hammer, tighten, tap with hammer. Are you using a penetrant?

thanks guys! i think ill try the hammer first... that i have - just a big smack on the bottom of the bolt id guess... otherwise ill go get a puller...
