Lockers
ok my frind gave me a diffirential case that came out of a 94 toyota pickup it has 4:88 gear ratio with a lock right locker in it. Can i use that locker on my 84 toyota pickup?? my 84 has stock 4:10s

as long as its a 8in diff you can use it, problem is you would have mismatched
gears (like i do
...) and with a 4.88 in the rear and 4.10 in the front you wouldnt
be able to us 4wd until you had matching 4.88's front and rear together.

Correct. None of it is useful to you. However, you should be able to sell it for decent $$. That is a reasonably desireable setup. Some will turn their nose up at a lockright in the front but there will also be plenty of folks that will take it off your hands. This also assumes you don't feel obligated to give it back to your friend if you aren't going to use it personally.
