Leaf springs

Not much found with the search feature. Just looking for some reveiws on the trail gear leafs. I have an 81 and i just snapped a leaf so i was looking into replacement and trail gear has all theirs on sale. I was also looking at their anti axle wrap setup. If any one is using this let me know or if you have any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

They are not bolt on. You must weld on new hangers and shackle mounts.

Run dozens of sets no problems. Folks that "S" leaf springs or break them don't set them up right or never install bump stops or do so improperly.

wabbit just to clarify something, those trailgear leafs are pretty much just like doing a chevy 63" spring swap right?

Not really in my opinion. Chebbies are longer and more unpredictable on lift height you get.

Where would I look to find a detailed set up for this? Thanks agian for the responses. Oh and Wabbit you said you did like them? How is the flex?

Take some pics of the suspension lift. Whose lift is on it? That is a good place to start.

I've heard good and bad about Trailgear springs. I run Allpro and like them. The mounting will require welding, measuring, grinding, and a good bit of research. Wabbit does Trailgear and building trucks for a living, he is very knowledgable.

LOL. Turns out after looking a little closer, I just sheered a center pin. I fixed that proplem though. Thanks for the advice. I think it may be a superlift that is the brand of shocks that are one it. There is no real way for me to now what lift it is.

I'm running allpro in my front and have emu in the rear. I was thinking of putting pro in the rear as well. You guys think I'll gain any major benefit over swapping them out in the rear?
