i'm still sagging

i had firestone over the past couple of months replace my entire suspension... most recently were the back coils. it rides much better and doesn't sag as much...however the back end is still 1/2 inch lower than the front... should i go back to firestone and demand that they put a taller coil in the back to raise it up to the correct level?

thanks!

well, firestone put a stiffer / taller coil on the back of my 99 today but i'm still disappointed... it rides better... feels better over bumps but it still doesn't sit like it's supposed to... it's ALMOST level... the back WAS an inch lower and now it sits pretty much level... the back driver side is about 1/2" lower... i really wanted to drive away today with the back sitting at least 1/2" higher than the front! i'll post pics and measurements later...

I'm glad to hear firebone took care of you...haha I actually use them for all my tire/alignment needs. I always just either had the spring pack re-arched by a local susp. shop and/or added helper springs myself.

..as far as everyone else contributing, it seems like you did a good job handling it yourself in quick fashion..everyone else was just enjoying their weekend

JP, welcome to Yotatech, man.... sorry no one hit your thread when you gave a 'shout', lol. Personally, I'm neck deep in 'OVERWHELMED'VILLE' lol.... and I can't even get to my rig as much as I'd like.... Also, this site seems to be MUCH more heavily traffic filled with 84-95/96 Toys.... and I can only guess that, like me, MANY on here have no idea how one would even go about lifting the front end of the later gen's via 'adjustment' etc., ya know?

Oh, ...and you left out, initially, "Year, Make, Model"..... which, well, ..... often causes people to 'browse over' ya! lol.

Hmmmmm, .... Seems I remember that the newer Gen's(99 WHAT? lol), at least in the 4Runners of those years, seem to not have the noticeably raised front fender, and also seem to LOOK a lil more raked, naturally. But, the 4WD's....now that's another story. I've noticed they seem level, but haven't paid attention as to whether the front fender is cut higher like with my first gen.

I would start looking in "Lifting a 99.........????" (sorry if I missed it, I just don't see whether it's a pick up, 4wd, runner, sequoia)...>OH, and you know of Scotty, I believe he's the owner of Addicted Offroad? He just SAS'd what I THINK was a 99 or 2000 or so...4RUNNER, lol. I KNOW people like him have lots of knowledge in the newer trucks.

Best wishes, man .... I will check in to learn a bit more about these..., but just one more thing.....WEEKENDS ARE DEAD on here, JP. Many times I've wanted/needed input....but quickly realized that people just take off most often from this site/in general, lol.

thanks for the replies!

i have a '99 runner... 2wd... running 275/75/16's

it's pretty level but definitely doesn't have any rake... i'm pretty sure the back of the truck is supposed to be about 1/2"-1" higher... am i not right? they only replaced the back shocks... the mechanic said that the first set that were put on fit easily while this time, they had to use a spring compressor to get them to fit... i really would like a little forward rake but i'm probably not going to get it until i order my stuff from ome...
