I'm not sure about what thicknesses you should use, any autoparts store can tell you or the dealer or a manual but as for the idaho part...where are you? I'm in rexburg goin to byuI.

75w90 for the diffs, xcase, and probally tranny...

AMSOIL.. yes synthetic will be fine there, and will be fine in your motor, but may cause existing leaks to get bigger, some of which you dont even see now. This is because it will clean the slidge off of seals and gaskets, therfore exposing a leak that my have been there but blocked with sludge. Personally I swap everything in all my rigs to AmsOil...

I run Amsoil Heavy Duty Diesel in my cruiser. That and an Amsoil bypass filter and my oil is good for 10,000+ miles.... You CANT go wrong with synthetics.

I may get some hate mail for this but I got the cheap stuff from Wal-mart (supertech I think?). I plan on changing it every 30k so I didn't really see the need to put in expensive stuff.

Bob the oil guy even says that if you change your oil every 3k then Wal-mart brand is great.

Besides, I like changing my oil. Gives me an excuse to climb under my truck and look for stuff to mod!

30k or 3k? Never seen an oil at wally world I would run 30k on.. And I would only run expencive stuff for 30k...
