Heat and AC not working

I have a 2003 Toyota 4Runner, V8. I went to turn on the heater and nothing happened, no air at all. I turned on the AC to see if that worked, still nothing. But when turning on the AC, I usually will hear the noise of the AC kicking in right before the air blows, and I didn't even hear that noise.

I'm going to try getting a fuse, but is there a motor that controls both the heat and the AC?

Does this problem sound like a fuse issue, or a motor issue? I'm really stressed now because this is my only vehicle, I have 2 babies, and I barely have enough money to get by this month, let alone pay to have this fixed. That's why I'm hoping it's a fuse because that's cheap enough to buy.

Any guys out there that can help me with this question?

It very well could and (hopefully) be just a fuse. So when you try to turn on the blower fan for the heater/ac. it just doesn't turn on?

Not sure on the later model vehicles, but there is usually a fuse for the heater/AC blower. Likely that is out if you lost both functions at the same time.

Right. Nothing comes out of the vents at all. We just had alot of snow yesterday, but I drove in it and it was working fine (the heater). My truck sat all night in the snow as well, could it be a clog or something?

I really hope so, that's cheap enough to fix.

Might try cleaning out the snow from the air intake ducts up front, not sure if yours are behind or under the hood. Might also see if you can put the vehicle in a heated garage for a few hours to see if maybe the something is frozen up inside.

The snow was cleaned off the truck, but when I went to the store and then got back in the truck, I turned the truck on and the heater blower was BLASTING! (I left the heater on high). On my drive home I kept turning the heater blower on, off and all through the mid range settings and still it's working fine...hmmmm?
