first time front shocks prerunner

Hi- I followed the 'instructions' in my Chilton and on the FSM available here, but I have run into a snag on changing my front shocks on my 1999 prerunner. Supported front control arm and removed the lower mount nut and left the bolt in place; then it says while lowering the control arm, remove the bolt. I tried, but the bolt got stuck partially out. Now its wedged. Is this the need for just a BF hammer? I know there is some pressure there, but wonder just what is going to happen if I slam that bolt out of there. Any advice? Thanks

Jack the control arm up and level it out. relieve the pressure on the bolt, and it will slide out. If it wont slide out, use a hammer and a punch and pop it out of there but make sure the control arm is supported. Nothing will really happen, other than the arm may drop down a few inches if there is no support there.
