fender guide

I'm totally new to Toyota trucks and was hoping someone could explain or point me to a guide of the front fenders. Here is a link of a couple of 92 trucks http://s629.photobucket.com/albums/uu19/whabamdo/ . Then, I'm attaching a photo of a 95. notice the difference in styling in the front fenders. are the 95's an aftermarket, or are those 4wd, or why do they look so much better? will those bolt onto the 2wd trucks I uploaded to photobucket? thanks so much for all help

The photo you attached is not a 95. Its a 86-88.

Of the 2 photos in the album, the black truck is stock fenders, the tan one looks like it has jungle fender flares on it and is 4wd.

I think you have some reading to do. READ ALL THE STICKIES!!

for example, seems like you're more interested in the 90's trucks than the 80's ones.

I am not sure which truck style you are talking about for sure. But the 84-88 and 89- 95 fenders are different from each other.

There is also a difference between the two wheel and 4 wheel. 4 wheels are more flared and on the 89-95 the side marker lights are different. On the 4 wheel the pointed corner is at the top and a two wheel the pointed corner is at the bottom.

couple tips for you:

1. use wikipedia for a quick and simple description of the different generations of trucks, so you can get familiar with when model changes occurred. (for toyota pickups, sometimes its helpful to search "hilux" which is the non-US name for them, but keep in mind you'll see non-US stuff as well)

2. use google image search to look at pictures of specific year trucks. cardomain is a good site for pics of vehicles

3. use rockauto.com to look at pictures of parts when you need help identifying something. their site is pretty accurate for pics. i just looked up toyota fenders for a few years, and they illustrate the difference in the 2wd vs. 4wd for 84-88 as well as 90-92.

some parts sites are good reference sources whether you shop with them or not. and definitely read all the "sticky" threads on YT, which will refer you to our favorites.

Are the Jungle flares just like Bushwackers? My 4Runner came with some but I pulled them for my bedliner two tone paint.

I would say the jungles are closer to the factory originals than the bushwackers and the price is a lot better too.
blakegeee? blakegee? (one or the other I forget lol) is a member here and the owner of the co. that designed/sells them.
You might try sending him a pm for more info or try a search here...
