Exclamation Factory U bolts

I just bought coils to perform the ZUK mod on my 87 4runner and it has 3 inch blocks on it that I plan to get rid of once the springs are installed.
Does anyone know where I can order OEM U bolts?

Thanks!

Cool - I did this to replace 4" blocks on mine and ran into the same issue.

I went to Autozone to buy generic U bolts (they have kits), and one of the guys working there had just installed new aftermarket springs on his newer tacoma - he sold me the factory ubolts for $10 and they were in the bed of his truck outside - total score.

That said, I think you can just get "generic" u bolt kits at auto parts stores - just make sure you have the right size confirmed and that they are designed to attach the right way...a lot of kits I saw were made for "leaf under axle" applications and would not have worked on mine.

Try a dealer too, or www.toyotapartszone.com

GL!

Looks solid....I would make sure they come with the bolts as well, at that price.

I did just ask the seller and he said that they do, I'm gonna go ahead and order them. I've order the 14" 100lbs springs and new front and rear shocks. I have a question, Since the front of the truck doesn't have any type of springs or leafs what keeps it up?

From: Bryan Tx,
Start an item wanted thread here on YT. I am sure several members have a set laying around. I ordered a U-bolt flip kit this morning so I will have an extra set of U bolts in a week or so when my kit gets here.

are u-bolts reusable rob? I was under the impression once you take em off you shouldn't reuse them.

OEM u-bolts are quite expensive BTW. I cam up with two types and not sure which one is which:

BOLT, U(FOR REAR SPRING) 48117-14042 1986.08-1988.08 LN66, RN6#, VZN6#.. HLF $23.31 x 4

I don't see why they wouldn't be re-useable? Only bolts I know of theat shouldn't be reused are tourqe to yeild which I do not belive the ubolts to be.

hmmm good news for me, but then again in PA those threads take a beating haha. My luck I don't get a new set for my springs and end up ... well with 4 u-bolts in 10 pieces hahaha.

a tad longer, but they're grade 8, come with all hardware, and are beefy. i'm using them now. my only thing: paint them. they're not coated. mine have a nice light layer of rust, and (hindsight is 20/20) i should have painted them
