earthzonealex 85 pickup 22r rust war

Hey guys, just bought an 85 22r single cab pickup. Got it for good price but know it's going to need some work to get the body in good shape. The engine runs great and 5 speed shifts easy 4x4 no problem. The major downside is the body damage. I just moved to Nebraska and needed a truck then spotted this one. Good mechanically but they pile salt on the road here. I am not trying to make this truck new but want to keep it running (and in one piece). Any advice on how to remove this rust and keep it off would be great, also any tips on where to find interior stuff like

First, copy and paste the IMG code directly onto your post and the picture itself will show. People are too lazy for clicking links.

Second, POR-15. That's all you need to know. Isolate and reduce to bare metal any rusty areas, be it body or frame, apply a few layers of POR-15, prime and repaint.

Welcome to the club! And that truck is a beauty!

Yeah I am planning on taking a wire brush on grinder to most of it. Do you think it would be worth it to pull the bed off and work the frame from the top as well? Some people have told me to beat the frame with a hammer and knock the loose stuff off and just rattlecan it but I feel like sooner than later that rust could become a terminal.
Also any advice for dash repairs, it has cracked in several locations. Thanks again.

Looks like a freaking twin of my truck. Same interior, same exterior color, etc.
Just a year newer, and with a Canadian bed.
