I just bought a 1990 2wd 22R toyota truck and would like to know if there are any differences for repair manual purchasing reasons.

 

I don't think there is any difference. My repair manual (Hanes) has write ups for all the different options I.E. 22R / 3.0 / 2X4 / 4X4.

 

89-95 should all be very similar some slight difference but the manuals should be the same Haynes is good but if you can get a FSM it will be a lot better. I have a 93 and my parts truck is a 89. Slight difference in drive shaft length. But very very close to being identical trucks

 

89-95 was all the same model version... with a few minor differences... pre-92?/93? the trucks had a 3 piece front bumper and the 3.0 eng. used a different ECM to the later version however the 22re models were basically unchanged. the front grill and some interior trim bits were different on the earlier models also... essentially though they are the same truck.
