Leafspring pad replacements?

Currently doing my leaf springs on my 4WD 1990 hilux. Got my first leaf spring off, got the two metal pieces off the center of the spring, and found two worn rubber pads. They didn't fit on my new spring, since over the years, they molded, and wore with the old spring. I went to Toyota to see if I could get OEM replacements, and was eventually told they were discontinued. Can you guys recommend an alternative, either aftermarket or a place i could buy material to fab them? Thanks!

I have no idea what your talking about.

None of the Toyota`s I changed springs on had any rubber but in the shackles or spring hangers .

Any industrial Rubber supplier .

McMaster -Carr Has all kinds of Raw Materials That can be bought in smaller quantities .

It's right there, in the piece the u-bolt holds together. Should I just chuck them, or is it worth the trouble of trying to find similar ones.

I can only guess till I bought these Toyota Vehicles the u-bolts had all ready been cut off at least once.

Those rubber pads had long been tossed out.

Any one else found them still intact ??

It can`t hurt to have them in there.

Then untold thousands with out them I would guess.
