Not really ball joints, but tie rod ends and pitman arm.

I'd go to a used tool shop and by used first quality American tools before I'd buy any harbor freight slave labor junk, but that's just me.

 

Go to your local Autozone they have pickle forks as a part of their loan a tool program. Couple smacks with a BFH and those will pop apart.

 

Yep, pickle forks and pitman arm pullers will take care of those for you no problems. Both of which can be rented at most part stores.

 

Oreilly, Autozone, et al should have the proper puller for loan.

 

Thanks mill, we don't have much in the way of used tool stores on the big island, I will probably end up getting something at auto zone

 

 

I've never torn a boot using a pickle fork that wasn't already shot. If the boots reuseable then it should be fine.
