Air box mods

Hey, has anyone chopped up there airbox on there 3.0 to get more flow? I was wondering if the maf sensor would pick up the difference and pump a little more fuel? Has anyone tried?

Intake Mod

Just modded my intake airbox on the 94' 3.0.
I had to cover the holes with some heavy aluminum screen from an old forklift air filter I was saving. I didn't wan't any leaves and crap getting sucked right up against the air filter.
Will post back how performance is.

intake mods

Definatelly an increase in intake noise. What I'm noticing is more midrange power. My low ened is still kinda sluggish.
I wish I had one of these 3.0's when they were brand new so I would know if my is performing at least the way the factory intended.

This info is all over the place on here, do a search for "3.0 deckplate" or "3.0 airbox mod". You will get a ton of info.

Thanks,

Fink

You want more power from the 3.0? remove the Cat. and muffler or a Turbo from Buick. The intake only increase air flow into the motor allowing more hidden or restricted power to unleash.

Not sure why y'all would be thinking that you'll be getting any more power or mpg from this.
