Getting hot !!!!
It's 33 C. out here today and I'm having to run with my heat on full to keep from overheating, unless I'm on the highway.. Got my own private sauna going on!! I know I have a bad head gasket, (white smoke until warmed up) but I can't afford to repair it right now. My local guy wants $2095 to replace it. The motor has 272,000 miles on it and I would rather replace it than repair it, but again I can't afford it. Do these block sealers work?

the only way to properly fix it would be to replace the headgasket.
$2095 is ridiculously steep btw. if its a 4-banger you can do the replacement in an afternoon with a torque wrench and a normal set of tools.
If its a V6 its a lot more complicated (taking off intake mani, fuel rail, etc.).

when the motor goes you should upgrade it to the 3.4. cost wise can be more but worth it to do that instead of the 3.0 replacement if thats what you have.
Ide say pour it in and if it works it works. Ive never used it but i havent heard really anything good about it and i bet its not a very long lasting fix

IF it works(big if) IT will not last very long....maybe 5k miles, and If you are planning to rebuild this motor, I would not advise you use any "mechanic in a bottle" it would ultimately make the problem worse, and make that motor a heck of alot harder to rebuild. My $0.02

Sorry then....You get none of that from me, I have found that they usually cause more damage than good....but hey, if you dont ever plan on fixing this motor...then what the hell....you havent really got anything to lose. It would most likely prolong the inevitable...for how long? Thats the $64,000 question.
