93 sr5 4x4 pickup rough idle

my 1993 toyota pickup has just recently experiencing very rough idle and then dies out. what could be wrong and is there anything i can do to remedy the problem?

What engine?
Check engine light on?
What have you checked under the hood?

Don't just look for the check engine light. But jump the diagnostic ports and count the flashes to get the codes if any. Until then we are just guessing
