93 pickup frame rusted thru

Hi folks, I have a 93 pickup and the frame has rusted through so bad that it actually broke at the rear spring shackle and is unsafe to drive at this point. I understand that Toyota was buying back trucks with bad frames. I did a little research and found out that the years they are dealing with are 95-2000. Is there any way of getting my truck covered under this program. Or should I forget about any hope of having Toyota help me out on this? Thank for any help you might offer.

Mark

unfortunately, you are s.o.l.... go to a local welder and have him repair it, should only set you back a few hundred bucks

If you have an Xtra Cab and you live on the east coast, I have a rust free frame I will sell you for 150$ as well.

No way toyota will cover it. You can repair it or get a new frame.

Chances are if it hat bad in one spot, it is bad in other spots too.

Thanks to all who replied. no mine is not an extra cab, thanks anyway. I didn't think it would be covered. Yes there are lots of other spots it has gone clean through. I would just be chasing it if I were to weld this one area. To bad it needs so many other things, I don't think I can afford to fix it up. It needs a head or head gasket, brakes all around, complete exhaust, a windshield, front end work, new a/c system, tires, frame. I just don't have the money to do it. oh well she was good to me up until now. I got 323,000 nearly trouble free miles on it. Thanks again.

Mine went at about 170K right above the leaf spring mount on my 87. Both sides were bad. But wyoming9 knows what these PA trucks have to deal with. lol.
