Exclamation 92 4Runner Build Advice! High Idle?

New owner of a '92 4Runner I bought for a daily driver / adventurer. Got a pretty good steal, 121,000 miles, body is clean, some oxydation on the hood but for the age, cannot complain. No rust, straight as an arrow, typical interior wear and tear for the age. Mechanically its pretty sound. 2500 bucks. Mechanic sold to me as previous owner racked up a hefty bill for a simple wire harness fix that was found after tearing apart the engine trying to find the issue and decided to sell. Just looking for some advice as I would like to make a pretty decent build. Hoping to repaint here soon. Would like to put a 1-2" lift and get some solid wheels and tires on her. Suggestions/recommendations to look into? Been driving for a couple of days and its definitely idling pretty high. Might be due to it being winter here in CO and the cold starts, havent driven enough yet to tell. I plan on taking a look at the throttle body and IAC and cleaning it out here in the next few days when I have time. Maybe adjusting idle screw and see if that helps. Its not throwing any codes, just the high idle. Will take some more pics in the next few days also. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

That'll be my next check. It's gonna be a project, but I'm stoked for sure.

Paint.. From here it looks.like it just needs the clear coat re-shot on the roof and hood. Use a bar style drop light and inspect the sides for warps and dings, so you know what to expect body work wise. (It gets expensive really fast to have a shop do it, and the good ones that provide a warranty don't like having to paint over someone else's work)

Lift & tires.. Unless you plan to do "proper" off-road stuff keep the stock height and tire size. It is a v6 and known not to be a big powerhouse, bigger tires aren't going to help you love it.

Idle.. Get it to operating temp with a drive, jumper the diagnostics and see where it's sitting. If you don't have a tach you'll need a timing light with built in tach, or an automotive multimeter with an engine speed clamp (harbor freight). The automatic transmission model has a higher idle speed than a manual, you can find these specs here but its a good idea to locate a factory service manual for the future.

Play with idle screw, check timing if you can. Definitely pick up tach if you don't have one already.

Ended up being a disconnected vacuum line. Also played with idle screw and got it down to about 750-950 rpm on warm start to anywhere from 1500-2000 rpm. Seems to have fixed issue for now. Still want to check throttle body and will definitely pick up a tach here soon. My bad about posting in wrong thread, I realize that now. Thanks for the input everyone.
