Exclamation 87 4runner and warn bumper

have a 87 4runner sr5 with a 4 inch suspension 3 inch body, and 33 inch tires.

just got done putting a new 22re engine in it.

was wondering if the Warn 68450 front bumper, which is ment for 89-95 pick up would fit the 87 4runner?

any modifications needed?
whats the difference in the front end of the 87 4runner to the 89 pickups?

so if the warn wont bolt on....

what is the next best bumper that will bolt on

not to expensive, but not something cheap.

i looked at the marlin crawler,
the addicted offroad
the arb....

arb is expensive, good bumper, but spendy
are the marlin crawlers or addicted off road ones street legal in washington?
and addicted off road makes their front bumper ready to come with a 3 inch body lift on it...

which do i go with?
or does anyone know anyone else?

well our RCW's say a bumper must stand 4 inches in verticle solid heigth. and cannot stick out farther then the original bumper from the naufacturer...

this means stingers and all tube bumpers are not legal is washington...

but yet there are plenty around this area alone.

also, my tires stick out 3 inches past my fenders, so im going to get fende flares, do i need the cut outs which cover 3 inches, or can i get the extend ones which are only 1.5 inches?

Do you have the WA Motor Vehicle Code handy? I would be curious to see it.

I found a Warn bumper off of a 1988 4runner that a guy wants to sell. He thinks its a fit for my '85 Runner, but I'm not so sure. He doesn't know what the part number it is, but looking at the pictures I'm thinking it's the 68450 Rock Crawler for the 89+ Toyota Trucks. He swears it was a direct fit on his '88.

Anybody run into this before?

Get some pictures where the bumper mounts to the frame. On '89+ you have frame bumper mounts on the side of the frame, on '88 and earlier, the bumper mounts are on the front of the frame. IFS trucks have a wider bolt hole spacing that the solid axle trucks ('84-'85):
