Ah. Man, I had a set of 9.50 LTB's on my '86, thing would pull like nuts. Might try to hunt down a used set for the runner.

Was the 9.50" to small? Should I go with 10" at least?

I live in CO where it snows a bunch! I'm looking for a skinny but stable off road tire for my stock rims for the moment. TSL? BOGGER?

I've heard from people that boggers have very good traction in snow going forwards or backwards, but they have very bad lateral/sideways grip. So it's very easy to end up sideways etc...

And if there is any ice, forget about it altogether!

I run 35" Interco TrXus in canada, tons of snow and tons of ice, they are siped which helps for ice, I'd say it's about as good as it gets for a mud tire being used in winter conditions.

I'm on stock suspension, however my fenders are flared out. They fit (ish), but there are some things that NEED to be trimmed:

-The front bumper end caps: remove them and the brackets.
-The firewall needs to be hammered in an inch or so (maybe 2), behind the front wheel.
-The back of the front fender also needs to be trimmed back 2"
-The back wheel wells need to be trimmed 2" on the front side, and another 2" on the back (widening the opening a total of 4")
-The top of the rear wheel well will also need to be trimmed up a few inches to make room for the tire under full compression (I believe 2" should do it)

With the backspacing, I had plenty of clearance on the front control arms. The back might not rub on the frame under extreme articulation, but I can't say for sure.

Needless to say, this truck will probably go under the knife at some point to make them fit.
Thanks, this helped me out alot. Even though you are running different front panels.

Might have to try this. A guy is supposedly selling a set of 35's w/ 50% tread for $100 with 1 tire having a nail in it.

Ill add to this. Im running 35 (325/75/16) Procomp MTs on some steelies with my stock suspension. Not sure on the backspacing but they rub on the idler arm/power steering pump at full lock. Bought them for cheap off of a friend so I "made" them fit. Hammerd the firewall and my fenders were already cut about 3". SAS hopefully next winter but I would like to retain the height it is now.

...man I need some new pics. Soon I hope.

looks good, it's a no go for now for me and 35's though, wasn't gonna take a chance on weather cracks in the actual tire tread of those tires.
