I have a 1992 4runner with an automatic transmission and it's giving me problems: sticking when it's cold and not going into gear. I want to swap it out and I was wondering what I would need to swap a 5 speed transmission into it and would it be compatible with a 5 speed 5vze transmission I'm just wondering which would be stronger or better a 3vze or 5vze trans. Thanks.

 

3.0 and 3.4 bellhousing bolt pattern is the same so it should work. the r150f 5 speed from the t-100, v6 pickup, and 3.4 tacoma will work just consider the t case side drop (taco is driver drop). there are a bunch of info on what is needed for the 5 speed swap. good luck not too hard.
