Hey like the title says looking for a 3rd gen 4runner clutch pedal arm don't really need the clutch pedal pad. My spring has worn a deep groove into my pedal and don't have access to a welder myself.

That said, I replaced the clutch pedal and spring (your spring will be worn, too) 85,000 miles ago. Should it go bad again I will definitely be going the other route, that thing was a bear as was the stinky little plastic bushings.

 

Hey thanks i have read through those previously and for a cheap fix i might go ahead and give it a try. I just seem skeptical about it but this pedal is driving me a little crazy.

 

I don't have a pedal but if you want to pay shipping both ways and a couple bucks I can weld it for you

 

Depending on how the clutch acts, just adjusting the pedal might do wonders for the feel of it. My 96 Tacoma pedal I had to lift slightly with my foot to get cruise to work, but the clutch engaged right off the floor. Adjusted the pedal and no more problems, clutch felt tons better, and no more messing around pulling it up to get cruise to work.

Fixing the spring problem is never a bad idea, never ran into that personally yet, atleast not one bad enough to notice.

 

Sometimes it's more than a little adjustment...spring and clutch pedal eat each other over time....

Dunno if they're still available, but I got the replacements from Toyota.

 

Okay so i have become a believe of the linear spring mod! popped the big spring out and replaced with a brake return spring I got at an auto parts store. Only had to make minor adjustments to get the spring to have the "feel" that i prefer and bam, no more clutch squeak and having to kick it to the top.
