Lifted 4th Gen 4Runner front axle seal?

Has anyone with a lifted 4th gen 4runner had a front axle seal go out? I have the revtek lift. I'm not sure if it is a factor but my driver's side seal on the front is leaking. Good thing I have the warranty, or at least if the stealership doesn't account for the lift. I guess there is only one way to find out. This will be the third time the runner goes in for major maintenance. I only have 27000 miles on it. I'm a little disapointed.

You could have bought an Armada and just went bonkers by now with all the problems

Don't get me wrong, I still love the runner but it will be a pain in the arse if I have to change that seal myself. Warranties are good but oh well. Parts breaking is just a fact of life. I just hate when it happens. Once the warranty runs out I will probably do a sas.

Do you mean the CV boot? Maybe a branch or something hit it offroading? Any case, that sucks. Hope it comes out ok $ for you.

I wish it was a cv boot. That would be a bit easier but I can see where its coming out of the axle. It's been throgh some water/mud with sticks and sand so something probably happend. I miss colorado and the rocks. Mud is so hard on vehicles.

You are the first I have seen with that problem on a 4th Gen. Just have the dealer fix it, I dont see how they can blame the lift. CV yeah, but axle seal????????

I would think twice about that. There are still many things that you have to do maintence on with a SAS'd truck. Many of the parts and systems on newer trucks are sealed units and just need to be replaced when they go bad, but i have to repack my front wheel bearings every year or so on the Taco. Plus the brakes aren't all that great, it's got a terrible nose dive under hard braking, squeeks and rattles when you hit bumps.... I could go on and on, but a SAS is not a fixall... That's why i left my 4Runner mostly stock, I want it to be reliable...

I realize this is 8 months later, but just wanted to let you know I have the exact same problem!! Did you end up replacing yours yourself or did the dealership say your warranty was void? How is it doing now? Did you ever discover what caused it?? I've been offroading too, but no mud/water/sticks/sand for me.

If you have a chance, I'd love an update!
