Lifted 2004 SR5 V6 Limited
We lifted this runner with the REV-TEK 3" kit. It is sitting on LT285/70R17 Toyo Open Country AT. This tire is actually taller than the 33x12.50R17, however it is a little narrower.

I take it that the Xreas system was done away with on the Limited.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
willymoe,
Is this your 4Runner? I am not familiar with the Revtech kit. Is it a block spacer or new coils?
I would love to see a pic from the front to the new ground clearance. By the way what are the new measurements?
Thanks

It looks pretty good, but I would have gone with a different tire. A more agressive tread would have really brought out the lift. Oh well to each their own. Other than that the 4th Gen looks really cool lifted.

Curious
Does anyone here know why Toyota decided to drop the front end clearance from 11.8" to 9.8"? They lead the class for nearly 20 years in the clearance department and now they decide to lower it. They totally rebuilt the 4Runner from the ground up and it has more now than ever, minus the ground clearance. So we who own the 4th generation need to go out and spend money and time to get a lift just to have the stance like our brothers.
What were the engineers at Toyota thinking?
Just a gripe that I needed to vent about.

Where did you guys order the RevTek kit from? I am planning on ordering one tomorrow from Wheeler's Off-Road in Oregon. He has it listed @ $419 and with no tax in OR, I figure that is a pretty good deal. Any info would be great. Thanks for posting the pics and info. Late.

Billy, I work in a shop that installs lifts and does undercar work. We get the lifts from REV-TEK direct. I started trying to get one for my runner in Jan of this year. I have talked with the owner several times in the past on technical and sales issues. I have known Gary Wheeler from Wheelers Off Road for many years. His price on the lift is excellent. This kit also includes rear foam filled shocks and brake line extender as well as the spacers. Wheelers price on the lift is very little over dealers cost. I know my company pays the same price as he does and we are over a billion dollars a year in sales. By the way REV-TEK got into business by building under water exploration equipment.

For those people who are lifting their new Runners, good luck on having your factory warranty cover any large repair bill. You lift, you waive rights in your factory warranty. I want a 2" lift with my XREAS when the factory warranty runs out. I'll wait until the market catches up with XREAS.

Actually the current 4Runner is built for the general world since how many actually see enough off road to justify keeping it the same stance as the previous gens plus I'm sure the rollover factor is lessened for dumbass drivers.
The reality is that the SUV market caters to the majority and that's why at the moment there are soooo many "barely off roadable" SUVs and ,ore and more people are reducing their actual off road SUVs into glorified station wagons, hence all the goofballs putting 20+ inch wheels on H2s,Cherokees and even 4Runners which IMO is just silly.
I just saw a Tacoma 4WD wih 18s on it and it looked rediculous.
