Body Lift for 4th gen 4runner
has anyone installed a Roger Brown body lift on a 4th gen 4runner yet? I'm thinking of getting one, but it looks like I'd have to modify my rear bumper to fit around the frame. anybody know anything about this?

Have you checked in to the Daystar suspension spacer lift. My 4th gen (stock) measures 8" clearance at the front skid, and FirstToy measured at 12" at the front skid. Huge difference! He runs the Daystar 2.5" spacer lift and 265/70/17 tires, but his tires probably only account for an extra 3/4" of clearance at the most. I wasn't a believer of the spacer until I saw this difference. Didn't know that the spacer would add ground clearance.

Easy as apple pie (just like any other BL install)
1. loosen steering rod (or else your steering will be tight)
2. remove bolts on driver/passenger side (work on one side at a time)
3. raise driver/passenger side (the side you're working on) - use a floor jack and some 2x4's
4. install new body spacer
5. install new bolts
6. do the same to the other side
7. install radiator drop backet
8. double check install by checking all bolts (includes radiator, body lift and steering).
9. picture and test drive.

actually, it's a little more complicated than that ... some of the body mounts are very difficult to get to, and you need to pay attention to the bolts because they are of multiple lengths, and you will need to take note of where the longer ones go.
