315's on my 4th Gen - PICS

Well, the tires are on...just minimal trimming was all it took...not perfect, but good enough for now. I just need to get some wheel spacers about 1/2" to 5/8" thick to pull the tires out a little. I wanted to confirm with you that my lugs are 12x1.5???...correct? Just wanna make sure that I am correct on that before I place an order. No extra lift has been added yet, and at the most I am only gonna go up one more inch. The ground clearance in the center is now at 13.75", almost 5" over stock height.

Again, if any of you can confirm my lug dimensions, that would be great. Enjoy the pics.

Billy

How safe is to install wheel spacers with a tire of that size?

Gonna try this link again...

Sweet, that finally did it, just click on the above link now...not sure why I was having all of the problems.

To answer your questions, I have the revtek 3" coil spacer in the front, and the revtek coil spacer in the rear modified to give about 4.5" of lift. I will soon be adding the downey lift coil to the revtek and removing my spacer mod job...lol. So, all in all, I really only have 3" of lift, I may add 1 more inch, I'm not sure...

I think the wheel spacers will be fine due to the fact that they will only be 5/8" thick. I just gotta get the tires away from the upper suspension arm(I don't know the exact name...my dumba$$).

For the most part, I am just gonna get her all put back together now(bumpers, scoop pieces, etc.) and call it a done deal. I'll be sure to keep ya'll posted, as I may sway in the downey coilovers into the front...i don't know...

Let me know what ya think!

Billy

Looking good man,
Are they rubbing when flexed? Those things look stuffed! I would try to stay away from spacers with that much wheel/tire weight. I would try to find a wheel with better backspacing rather than a spacer. But, thats a bigger pita.

as long as you run the bolt on style of wheel spacers, you are fine. just torque them down to 85-90#. i run a set of 1.5" spacers on my taco with 35" and 37" with no problems. alot of the SAS old skool toys run them and never had a problem.

Hey, thanks a ton ya'll. Yeah, the tires are very very stuffed. My 33's were able to pack all the way up into the fenders at any angle of articulation without a prob. I think I am going to have to bring her up another inch or two.

Beachtaco-

Hey, you seem to be the guy to talk to about the spacers. Is my assumption correct about the lugs being 12x1.5's?? Also, is there anywhere you would recommend to look for the spacers?? Thanks in advance.

I think I am just gonna keep my 33" M/T's around for wheeling and just swap on the 315's when I am cruisin.

Thanks again.

Actually, the % is fine, it's part of the "%20" which is the encoding for a space (" ").

I can't see any of the links above, but if your quote is right, then it could be from the "EMAIL" tag versus a "URL" tag. I got to the page fine just cutting and pasting the quoted link into a browser.

I'm respecifying the link here with "URL" tags just in case other folks have a problem:

Ok, does anyone have a good direction to send me in search for wheel spacers??? I just called all pro off road, marlin crawler, and looked on ebay, as well as called a few local tire/wheel shops...still searching. If anyone could help me with this it would be much appreciated...I'll overnight a case of your favorite brew to your doorstep...thanks.

Billy,

At least on the 3rd gens, the lug pattern is 6X5.5." The "6" represents the number of lugnuts, if I'm not mistaken.

Timber-

Hey, thanks bro. I haven't had a chance to punch it very hard as i have just been driving to and from work. I will hit the interstate soon, but from what I can tell...the engine and transmission handle the tires just fine. Glad to see that I can insipre you desktop.

Hey Billy, your runner is coming along nice. It's weird that I havn't seen you driving around campus. It's not like it's that big of one. Oh well, I'm sure I'll see you driving around somewhere. You know what my truck looks like. I'll be installing my new tie rods and fixing my idler arm next week sometime.
