Biff-
You got very lucky my friend. I busted one of my speed/wheel sensors way back and had to eat the $180...I never tried the dearler, thinking they would just laugh at me...glad to see you had luck on your side. Again, to re-iterate to every who is planning lifts on the 4th gens, be extremely careful with both the front abs lines and the wheel sensors. Good luck all, cant wait to see these rides.

Where are the speed sensors located? I don't remember we touched anything when we did the lift. In fact Lance, and I were extra careful when we got around the ABS lines, but never knew we even came in contact with the speed sensor.

If these rotten lines are so sensitive and so easy to break. Aren't they very vulnerable on the trails? A stray rock or branch can knock it out of commission. If these things break, is the vehicle still driveable?

timber - I think you'll be surprised when you start working around xreas lines ... you'll see that they are far sturdier than it sounded in the beginning. I'm not saying you should play tug-o-war with them, just that you shouldn't have any problems if you're just generally careful - as with all the parts on your truck.

timber doesn't have xreas so the install should be relatively easy. We won't be taking any of the ball joints off as that is not needed
therefore, damaging the sensors should be avoided.

My rig seems to be better with the lift, smoother even. When I make turns the car just seems to move with the turn. I think the lift enhances the XREAS suspension.

Does anyone know what, if any, wheel travel is gained (or lossed) with the revtek?

It just never crossed my mind that I wanted the XREAS, because of the long-term cost of replacement and maintenance. I would imagine that most people will end up replacing the XREAS with the regular shocks (due to cost) once they wear out.
I had a Lincoln with air shocks, and the cost of replacing two was $1000. That was more than the value of the car.
Just my thoughts and probably a minority view too.
