ZUK mod flex issues???

Blocks are not a good way to lift a vehicle and should not be used, they cause axle wrap and that in turn can cause things to break.

investigation
alright so i got the jack out and started jacking up the body and opposite sides of the axle and here are some measurements i came up with:
all measurements are from the frame rail to the top of the leaf just behind the little rubber knob...
the first number is Pass Side second number is D. Side
Full extension
w/ shock: 12.5" 12.75"
w/o shock: 13.5" 13.75"
Full Comp.
w/ shock: 8.5" 8.5"
w/o shock: 8.5" 8.5"
anyone have measurements of full droop and compression w/o add-a-leafs?
the shocks are Gabriels, never heard of em before... Pro Ryder is the model...cant get a full model number off of them.
ZUK: i was looking at that, didnt know what it was but i noticed that the pass. side add-a-leaf C bracket was completely loose and had worked its way all the way down to the axle...kinda interesting...also must be my rattle lol. so if i take out the add-a-leaf i will in turn get more droop correct? which would mean i can go over a bigger obstacle and keep both wheels on the ground...i could use that.
i have some pictures for a little clarification:
passenger side leaf pack, circled in red is the bracket for the add-a-leaf:

drivers side leaf pack, notice where the add-a-leaf bracket is:

full flex: i jacked up one side until the opposite side tire was off the ground...

shock:

so first i will pop out that add-a-leaf and see what difference it makes

haha he does...
and i quote:
"I assume you still have the stock leafpacks with the factory overload springboard so if you were to do something like what I did here https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...f-leaf-225251/ then you might be pleasantly surprised with the results. Food for thought...

it seems to have a little more droop but it cant be more than an inch because thats the max for the shocks...rides a heckuvalot better though...heres some pictures of it crossed up...poser pics of course:

These are about 1.5" longer than stock shocks. I'm currently running the extra long rear shocks with these front shocks. The extra long front shocks are really only good for trucks with stupid bracket IFS lifts. If you don't plan to lift more than you are, these would be a great upgrade on the cheap. I've heard lots of complains about the "Nitro 9000" so I went with the "Hydro 8000" and they ride great and offroad well too

*sigh* Always the guinea pig. Ok I'll hit the local u-pull-n-pay and grab some overloads off of a rig out there so I can get them cut and bent to limit down time on my 4runner.
Jeez this thing is never going to be finished.....

Heck, I might swing down and take the 3rd way to the area above Chiva and camp there Saturday night. I can tell you about some of the Phx trails on the radio......ch 4.
I will know shortly if I'm coming down. I have a mostly stock 01 Taco extracab. Stock 410 gears...automatic...factory e-locker in rear....and that's it.

Ya.....less up and down and what is up is easier to climb(not as steep), more gradual.
