Zuk mod

Every pretty much knows what a Zuk Mod is, but I'm interested to know which springs out of junk yard can be used. What am I asking? Looking for a list of Springs that have been used out of the bone yard (already know of the ebay ones)to do the zuk preferably over the stops with out cutting anything.

So which car or truck did you get yours out of to do your ZUK MOD.

YEAR | MAKE | Model

1) 2000-2005 | Jeep | Grand Cherokee ---- Cut to height
2) ?????????? | Jeep | Wrangler Rubicon ----- Over the bump Stop no cutting
3) ---------- | online | 5"OD x 11" 125# ------ Over the bump Stop no cutting
4) 1997-2006? | Jeep | TJ Wrangler

Thanks

I used 2010 jeep rubicon front springs and cut them down to 13 inches. I posted a thread with the info.

I used front coils from an early '90s grand cherokee laredo and cut them down from 18'' to 12'', and that was perfect for me. Name: IMG_20120423_083412_zpsf2cac953.jpg

Not sure on the year | Jeep | TJ ---- Cut to 6.5 coils.

If I had to do it again (and when I get the time to pull them out again), I'd have cut them to 6 coils. It sits a little rear-high.

Check my build thread in 84-85 4Runners sub forum for the details.

Most of these are Jeep Cherokee wrangler, laredo, rubicon. Any other makes out there.

I am lucky enough to have a jeep drive in to the scrap yard for me to get spring coils out of this week.

But i am still interested in knowing what other makesand models that pople have used and works

TJ = Wrangler between 97-06. I'm not sure what year my specific springs came from, I got them off craigslist in an ad for "stock Jeep TJ suspension parts."

If you consider early Grand Cherokees and TJs the only mid size SUVs, then yes.

many midsize SUVs use coil springs and carry similar weight. so you can use Explorer, 4 runner, XJ, ZJ, MJ, TJ, whatever as long as it can be cut to the height you want. Get out the tape measure and get to measuring.

Basically, you're saying people should just find out information for themselves using basic tools and skills, instead of relying on guidelines set on the internet? Haha
