IS it worth it? spring & shackle bushings?

I am about to purhcase Rancho AAl, for my 1990 SR5 4x4 truck. I wanted to know if its worth the time, money, and effort! Too purchase replacement polyurethane bushings for the shackle and spring eye. MIne are typical cracked and old but still there...........

I like the poly bushings, they seem to last a lot longer than the rubber ones. But the initial replacement will require the bushings in your spring eyes to be pressed out. Those pressed in bushings are usually pretty good, so unless they have separated from the steel sleeve, you may want to just keep them.

Having never done this on a Toyota you might need to take this with a grain of salt.

I replaced all the spring/shackled bushings on an old scout of mine and it made a WORLD of difference. Much better feel both on and off road and all of the "slop" was gone when in an off camber/wheel picked/crossed up situation.

To get the old bushings out I used a ball joint press from Harbor Freight (they were 20$ at the time on sale so I snagged one) and a 3/4" ratchet/breaker bar to push them out. It is time consuming but it's a darn good idea since you're going to be in there anyway.
