Glad to hear that it is starting. Never trust a cold engine though, let it warm up to operating temp and see if it still dies out on you.

I'm a carb guy, so I can't help you there. Maybe someone else knows, or Dr. Google always has the answer.

Well check engine light gone. The junk yard people said out in the original air filter. He said they'll go bad and not a really much gain in these engines? I didn't do what he says I could care less. Gained my power and feel the engine again doesn't bog or take long to accelerate anymore "like it has to think". Thanks for your help guys now I just have 3 AFM's...

My head is spinning trying to read through the over auto-corrected broken engrish so this may have already been said.

Looks like the AFM was your problem. Just remember that the ECM will not turn the fuel pump on until it has a valid signal from the AFM. So if your AFM is screwed then it will just crank over forever.

And on the octane booster. 7-10 points does not get you from 87 octane to 94-97 octane. It gets you to 87.7-88.0. And I'm sure even if you put 110 octane in your truck it would be fine. If you don't believe a spark can ignite it... drench yourself with 110 octane gas and light a match to see.

Just kidding....don't do that.

f system is operating normally (with no detected faults), the CHECK ENGINE light will blink continuously
and evenly about 2 times a second.
Otherwise, the light will blink a number of times equal to the trouble code as follows:
The light blinks only (.5 second ON, .5 second OFF) when indicating a number.
The light will be OFF for 1.5 seconds between the first digit and the second digit of the code.
If more than one code is stored, the light will be OFF for 2.5 seconds before the next code is displayed.
Once all code(s) have been displayed, the light will be OFF for 4.5 seconds and then the whole sequence will repeat.

There is no code for 1 7
