work in progress

After I sold my 93 pick up I went hunting for a 1st gen 4-runner. I picked one up relatively cheap it needed some body and brake work but the motor was strong. After doing that stuff I ordered a lift tires and wheels. The tires and wheels I got from 4 wheel parts I took up Paul Rutila's (masterwacker on YT) offer for discounted prices. He took great care of me and the service in general was great from 4wheelparts. Look him up if you need parts. The lift is a 4 inch superlift and I got more like 5 inches. I went the procomp series 97 rock crawlers 15x8 wheels and 33x12.5 Mickey Thompson MTZs. I have the sliders in and just need to weld them on.

Next mods

Flat black paint
bumpers (marlin rear, 4xinnovations front) w/ sliders maybe start exo cage
lockers (have the front buying the rear)
4.88's (if I can find some)

what do you guys think I knwo it is a work in progress

Looks like a good build. What are you going to do about armor? Any plans?

the lift was just under $1000 shipped. I wasn't sure which brand I wanted but this article swayed me.

Thanks to Paul at 4wheelparts just ordered a rear locker for a great price. And ordered my marlin crawler rear bumper and I am waiting to hear from Adam at 4xinnovations to order the front. And the paint goes on in two weeks.

No boarding school stories this is a family site.

A buddy of mine put a Superlift Soft ride on a 69 stepside chevy "a vehicle that was never designed to be smooth" and that thing rode like a new car when it was done. Unfortunaly it didn't fly so gracefully!
