Hmm, thats wierd. Usually mine doesn't like going into gear till the tranny temp has risen a little. Longer I drive it, easier it goes into gear.

I had something similar happen with my 89 PU. Was a OEM clutch installed? The shop that did mine put in some aftermarket clutch, and after a few months the shifting went south. They installed a OEM clutch and has been flawless.

Maybe a stupid sugestion but have you checked the clutch MC fluid level despite it being new? I had this happen to me and it was out of fluid. It sucked cause there was air in so I had to bleed the lines. Worth checking at least if you havn't.

might sound stupid.... but my dads ranger did that when i was first learning to drive before i knew not to ride the clutch....

so if you riding the clutch quit and see if that fixes it.

Sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging. This could be any one of a number of reasons from adjustments, blown slave cylinders or major malfunction of the pressure plate. You'll have to determine why.
