Wierd clutch
I searched this and found a couple threads, but none specific to my issue, or maybe its not an issue. My clutch got really really easy to push down. It still engages/disengages at the proper heights/positions, still shifts good, it just got easy as all hell. Anyone ever heard of this before?

just might be getting old and loosing clamping force
might not notice the side effects like clutch slipping though, unless you try to pop the clutch at like 4k RPMs or more, lol
My old one before I started this rebuild felt REALLY soft too... I'm replacing it during the rebuild with a stiffer than stock one

see, thats why im confused, it shifts smooth as butter, no grinding at all, slips into every gear. Its just a lot easier than it was before. I dont know, i will check tomorrow after work.
Super- i have knee issues inherited from my mother also, sucks when everyone wants to get out of the trucks and hike. try driving a duece and half for three years! I miss my duece, got assigned to her a Ft. yeah, fluid level is good, hasn't changed since i changed it, so a leak is out of the question. I will get under there tomorrow and let you all know what i find.
Super- I loved it man, dump the clutch in granny and BAM! 8 tires spinnin'! but remember, watch those thumbs, got dropped for that a few times. The one i was assigned had no muffler, no top, no tailgate. I guess it got raped before i was assigned the truck. We have a guy here in town with one, church guy too, came into kragen, he knew i was military, i asked him if i could cruise it around town, said yes, i need to give him a call this weekend.
well im off to bed, y'all take it easy.

My clutch was super easy to push down too before I did the swap...but not just because of the new clutch stuff I used. There is a spring up under the dash that pushes the pedal out, that was out of alignment on mine. If you don't find it/don't wanna deal with it, I'll get it when I get there for the tires. If that's it, of course...

thats what i figured, the PO didnt take it anywhere except to work and the store, he was a rat rod guy, not a wheeling guy, his Mother being the original owner. they kept up on a lot of things, but no where in my records do i show a clutch change.
