Why would my truck still be pulling?

My truck had been pulling to the left pretty hard. Did the centre steering link recall, new idler and pitman arms, and an alignment. It still pulls to the left but not as hard.
The alignment shop says the passenger side bearing needs to be replaced, my mechanic with loads of Toyota experience says it has some play but shouldent be an issue and the alignment guys should be able to compensate for it. I brought it back to the alignment shop a week after they worked on it and they say it is still dead on and dident do an adjustment to compensate, they just switched the tires and called it good.
What happens is if I let go of the steering wheel is it wants to rest a bit to the left, if I hold it straight the truck goes straight. So I figured I would post up my problem here and see if someone might know if it is an alignment issue or if I still might have a front end issue.

Something wasn't done correctly.

Ugh, I didnt keep the copy of the results. When I brought it back they just blamed any problem on that bearing. Have a feeling they will do the same if I bring it back again.

It was Peters tire here in Vernon if you want to know who.

Mine started pulling to the left after I bought and installed my used Procomp AT's

They're all aired to 30lbs, and it does not matter where I place what tire, it still pulls to the left...

It's just strange that it was fine with the tires before...

But, on that note, my t-bars a slightly torqed, so I know I need an alignment

Sorry, thread-jack....

Yes tire pressure is the same in all 4. Tires have also been rotated three times and still have the same pulling. Tires were bought brand almost two years ago, but with the all the pulling I lost some tread on the outside egdes of both fronts, moving the rears up made no difference.

In order for the truck to track straight down the road...the front wheels are toed in slightly. If there is play in the wheel bearings alignment will not compensate for that. Keep in mind newton's laws...for every action there is a equal an opposite reaction. You got play on the right the truck pulls to the left don't listen to your friend spent the forty bucks and replace the bearings and realign.

it could be your tie rods. in mine there outa a bit when i went to align it on the alignment rack i couldnt turn them cause they were so rusty, so i compensated as much as i could. this could be what they did to yours and told you it was fine. not saying they did but theres a chance. so my vehicle still pulls to the left, and i cant turn them that half turn to correct my steering wheel position. usually the threaded part on them get full of dirt and corrosion so adjusting them is har dunless you replace them. and that can be costly depending on weather you do it and the parts. the bearing part being loose shouldnt make a real difference.

another thing is have you been in any car accidents? they may have adjusted it to the book and if its been in a car accident and parts have ben changed they may have compensated for bent parts in the past. and because youve changed a few others they may have set it to the book.

IT should pull a tad to the left to overcome the bank of most of the streets around here.. On a flat road It pulls a little to the left.

Don't worry bout it.

many errors and lack of thought mentioned above.
Here's "maybe" a little tip: Camber and Caster will cause your vehicle to "pull", toe will not.

toe, by itself, may make the suspension sensitive to bumps on the road, but won't make you go to the left or right.

How is the offset of your rims? I changed to a offset where wheels stick out more and find that mine does the same thing you are describing. It is climbing the road curve. If I drive to the edge of the road it goes away. I would just blame the road. It is a pain sometimes though holding it all the time.

Amen. Thanks for pointing that out Abe.

You could have half an inch of toe in on one tire and a quarter inch of toe out on the other- all that's going to do once the truck starts rolling is centre to 1/8" toe-in on both sides. The toe centres so that the toe for both tires is equal to the sum of the two divided by two. Let's define (+) toe as toe-in, and (-) as toe-out. So, in the example above [1/2"+ (-1/4")]/2 = 1/8" toe in.

However, if the tires have uneven amounts of caster, the wheel with the most caster straightens itself ("0" toe) and the other tire assumes the sum of the toe. This causes the truck to follow the path of the toed in tire (the one with less toe).

This effect can actually be used to your advantage when trying to offset the effect of the crown on roads (some people say the road is "cambered" but I'm using "crowned" as not to confuse "crown" with "alignment camber".
