Wheel dust protectent

I have been getting alot of wheel dust on my new micky thompsons and was wondering if anyone has a good crue for protecting the wheels . My wheels look like there a couple years old from the dust sticking and it took a lot of buffing to get it alll off so if any body has a good cure for it i would really like to know the best product to protect the wheels so i dont have to buff them out all the time. Any place that sells this product would also be helpful

thanks all

puddles...lots and lots of puddles

How about some of that teflon kitchen cleaner stuff? Might make it easier to wipe off the brake dust. Don't know how it would effect the chrome though. Armor-All or the likewise doesn't help at all at keeping it off?

After you remove all the brake dust, use a good quality wax and wax them.. It will stick but wipes right off. I tend to apply wax everytime I wash her...

I use Hollywoods metal polish. Its a good protectant and keeps the wheel nice and shiney. Its really easy to put on and take off. I got mines through the internet.

I used to use mother's aluminum polish and then a nice coat of wax on my boyd's when I had my chevy....brake dust wiped off relatively easily.

I wax my wheels almost every time I wash my truck. Also wax the truck with a spray on wax in between REAL waxing, lol. It helps get rid of the city water chemical spots (our city water here is absolutely awlful, a freshly washed vehicle looks horrible, even if you dry it with a towel) Actually, I just noticed today how clean my wheels are, and it's been a while since I washed my truck because of the cold weather.

wouldn't wd40 be bad for the rubber? just a thought (I know your talking about an RC car, but if he used it on his rims it might get on the tires)

in the amount of time that it would take for the oil to actually cause rubber rot those tires would be worn down to there steel belts.

but it comes down to that to stop brake dust from sticking your wheels will always have to have a coating of some sort of wax or oil of sorts and that will get pricey and inconvenient....what i believe it comes down to is just wash your wheels more often.
