I have been trying to figure this out myself. I was at advanced today and I was trying to see what the difference was. Unfortunatly he didn't have both in stock so I could not examine them to find out. Uf anyone knows I would love to hear how you can tell the difference.

Thanks
Scott

it's generally regarded as poor habit to just replace one wheel bearing when tearing into a hub. replace them both.

and almost EVERY vehicle uses 2 different sized bearings on their spindles.

I guess that I didn't make myself clear. There are two different types of outer bearings. Tapered Cup and Tapered Cone. Which one is the one to get? How do you know which one is on your vehicle?

Thanks

there is a bearing and race -- the "cone" is the bearing itself, the race is also called a bearing "cup". ALWAYS replace the race when putting in a new bearing in. some places make you buy them seperately, maybe that's the confusion?
