Any Canucks on this board know where or who sells an AAL kit in the great white north? I know places like JC Whitney sells a kit for around $50 but am pretty sure that the shipping would kill me?Any Ideas? It is for my 89 4runner.thanks.

Check Standen's springs in Calgary - I had them make new springs for my 85 toyota pickup. They can make them to any size & weight. Good prices to. They also install if needed. I loved mine - they rode better than stock

side note - Are you a Hirsche - related to the ones down south?

yup I a a Hirsche and we are all pretty much related some way. Most are from southern Alberta-know someone?How much did Standen's cost? i got a quote from a Kal tire guy and he thought it would cost about $400 to instal custom AAL's-ouch!

My wife's grandma was a Hirsche. Welcome to the forum cuz.

I can't remember how much it was for the springs - it was 7 1/2 years ago. I ended up getting higher rated springs - they were rated for 1 ton because I was landscaping. I had over 4 tons in the box & no problem at all. About the same sag as the stock springs with 500lbs. When I got them I though that they would ride really rough, but they were smooth. the one ton spring got me about 1" of lift. not much but the advantage with standans is that you can take a stock spring rate & arch the spring to what ever lift height you want.

They have a 1-800 number so give them a call. The install was't that expensive (or I would have done it myself).
