My 1988 Toyota 4Runner
Hello yotatech, I feel like I should start off with a little introduction (as this will be my first post on this forum) about myself my name is Ethan and I am from Vancouver, Canada. I am 17 years old restoring cars and trucks is something of a hobby of mine. I haven't really done much to the truck as of yet other then cleaning up a little bit of rust that was on the body but I have big plans for the future So I'll just post some pictures of my truck and add to it as I build it up.
Picture of it the day I brought it home.
Fixing up a bit of rust that was under the hard top and my dog looking like the devil.
A picture of some of the rust underneath the hard top, I didn't take one of the other side but it was far worse.
Cleaned it up a bit although it started to rain so I went inside.
Haven't done much like I said but I have only had it less then a week and I have had work everyday till yesterday and today. I am going to start with new tires because the current ones are so bald as you can see in the pictures and there the loudest things on Earth. As of right now it does have hedman headers on it.

Welcome to the club! Looks like a good runner. Pls post more details. 22R-E and Manual transmission I hope?
Also helps if you put those basic details in your signature.
Rust under the removable top was caused by the steel bracket inserted between body and top, that allows water to seep in there. I would remove that.

So I ordered 33" BFG T/A KM2's but it is going to take like 2-3 weeks to ship so in the mean time I bought some primer and some paint and painted my skid plate red. I think it looks pretty good and I am going to buy some more paint and do my roll cage. I do have a picture of what it looks like, I think it looks pretty good. Tell me what you think!
