What else should I do...?
I've got the front off and I'm planning on replacing the t-belt, water pump, tensioner, idlers and the thermostat.
What else do you think I should do while I've got access?
Anyone know of a good Aisin kit?
There's one at Rockauto but Its for a later model 3vze with the thermostat bypass hose.
Which thermostat should I get, 180 or 195?
Oh, I was wondering if anyone has made a hydraulic tensioner work on these early (88) 3vze's?
Thanks!!

1. Just get the AISIN water pump and piece together the rest.
2. 180° t-stat. Preferably Kuzeh. But they all pretty much work the same.
3. You can't do the hydraulic tensioner because there's a bolt hole missing on the RH head. You could, but you'd have to drill and tap the hole. Provided you know exactly where it's supposed to be. There's a small amount of material that would also need removed surrounding the bolt hole. Then, if you did all that right, that much would work. But...
4. The other thing is the timing cover. You'd need the one that works with the hydraulic tensioner. The fan bracket is shaped differently. Old timing cover no fit right.
5. I don't know. Go get yourself one of the newer style water outlets? If yours doesn't have one. http://www.toyotapart.com/GURGLING_(...T-EG029-88.pdf
