Weird snapping / knocking
So let's start from the beginning..
Engines works fine ( 1987 22R )
Engine seizes with an awful squeal revving around 4000 rpm
Engine seems to loosen up and starts again, however with a horrific sounding snapping noise that almost sounds like a knocking in the engine. However I do not believe it is because the sound does not remain consistent when the engine is revved up. At idle, it's constant, but as soon as I rev the engine the snapping noise becomes jumbled and all over the place.
After some research I determine that it is the known issue with the timing guide breaking.
Order ENGNBLDR timing kit. Nice stuff
Remove timing cover to find that the guide WAS broken. Ahaa! that's got to be it. Clean everything up, install all new timing gear.. yada yada yada.
Start engine, and walla!.. noise is still there.
This time, when i drive the truck slowly back and forth in the driveway.. as soon as I get about half gas half clutch, the noise tends to fade or disappear completely. At this point I can slam the clutch in and let off the gas leaving the noise almost non-existent. But, as soon as i try to take off again it's back..
Any ideas? Should I start looking at my clutch/ pressure plate? maybe something in there? I thought for sure it was going to be that timing chain guide.

could be something coming loose in the clutch assembly.
assuming that its not something obvious, i would drop the trans and take a peak.
if nothing looks wrong in there i would drop the oil pan and take a look at the rod bearings.

Thanks, I plan on checking the trans as soon as possible.
Cheers
