Vsv
I need some help. would anyone please point me towards a solution. I was servicing my Air Conditioning line (High Side) on a 1990 Toyota 4Runner 3.0 and I broke off the bottom portion of the VSV looks like a little plastic cylinder. I buttoned everything up on the A/C and went to try and start up the engine so I could add R12 into the vacuumed system, now my truck wont crank. It makes like a gurgle sound if I keep the key turned in the on position. Sounds like possibly the fuel canister. Not sure why or if ever I had heard this sound before. Everything was fine before I began working on the. Truck started just fine. We recently went on a beach trip. Could the broken VSV be the problem? Why would this cause my engine to not even crank? I did remove the battery to create more work space and the front grill. Does't look like I yanked anything out of place.Thank You!

The starter is electrical; if it won't turn, you almost certainly have an electrical problem. Start by confirming your battery is charged. Then, you want to make sure electricity is getting to the starter -- particular the solenoid lead. The starter is hard to get to on a 3VZE, so I'd carefully remove the starter relay (under-hood junction box) and check for battery voltage on the corresponding sockets (the top of the relay is labelled.)
Where on earth are you getting R12? And how much are you paying for it?
