2 VCV Valves
Guys, I am new to this Site. I have a 1991 22RE Toyota truck 4x4 i bought new in 1991. I just changed the motor out to a DOA 150hp engine. My Question is on the 2 VCV's that mount on the top plate of the Valve Cover. One has a Grey fitting the other a Brown. I went to the Toyota Dealer and they cannot find the Grey VCV. Instead it called for the Blue VCV and the Brown. The difference is the Blue VCV takes 3 Lines and the grey one takes 2 with the Blowoff black cover. Anyone know the differnce? Or can i use 2 of the Brown colored ones?
thanks

Many VSV's a being discontinued form Toyota. Two choices...
1. Just by-pass the VSV and run strait off of manifold vacuum. It will just raise your idle like your AC is on all the time.
2. Ebay might have one. I spent months trying to find my specific part number...never could.
I just ended up by-passing and removing all the extra vacuum hoses...
Here is a write up about by-passing the PAIR VSV. The same principle applies to the AC idle up...
