I might try doing it in sections. Lower then upper, in case I am not thrilled with it. I am looking at a carbon fiber pattern. I checked out youtube for install hints and there was a wealth of information. If it is not perfect, so what, any color is better than the maroon red.

I will show before and after pics if and when.

i abuse the hell out of this paint job. i never wash the damn thing, go to the local canyon get stuck and leave the mud on there for about 3 days caked on in the heat. wash it off with the hose and dish soap!!! no car wash solution here. dry it off with towels not chamois.. honestly its been abused and still looks good. here's some pics of it with the 1 day paint job. these pics were taken after i just washed it. it looks like this about once every 3-4 months!! i'm just a lazy ass that drives a dirty ass truck until i get tired of it and wash it! so the paint has been pretty damn good!! 5 years old!! oh and the truck used to be red. this was a color change with door jams painted. not bad for 5 years old and 300 bucks!!

The material used for vehicle wraps is more expensive than regular vinyl. Most of the ones we do range from $3000-$5000. Of coarse that includes artwork and a print. Even still the material cost to wrap a truck would be $700-$1000, plus you would need someone to install it. Paint would be cheaper.

 

I did the rustolum roll on and it cost around 80$ to 90$ for 3 small cans of blue paint primer and the brushes it took 4 days the first 2 coats I thinned out and they did not coat well I would have had to put 10 coats on for a good solid paint job.

I will try the interlux next time if you get the paint on thick enough you can wet sand it down to a very smooth finish and it will buff out real nice with a good wax and a power buffer.

also the primer is not needed if it is not bard metal you are painting on I found the rustolum chipped in a few spots and the primer stayed in place but the blue paint did not bond to the primer well.

This may be the only time to post a jeep and not get hammered. I did this wrap a few years ago. It was a 3M wrap that came in 3x4 sheets, and installed dry.I would save up for paint wraps are $$$. Also not super easy
