I really hate to dog on Michelin Wiper Blades. I've used them for years and their CS people even sent me a free adapter kit (which I didn't know was even sold) to install their new Advanced Silicone wiper blade. I think one thing that makes it look so wrong is the adapter kit offsets the wiper blade down under the wiper arm. As bad as I want great performing wiper blades I'm not sure if I can go for this look...

No, the truck needs paint. But right now I could care less about paint, the trim IS there just painted black, and the antenna is rubber.

No worries bro. All in good fun. Except for the tires, this truck looks the same as when I bought it almost 15 years ago. Sad but true. I've spent all the money on repairs and maintenance. But that antenna has been a bane in my side since day one. I hate that thing yet it's still there...lol

I can't bend the wiper arm to solve this. But I am thinking about switching them out with a "J" hook style wiper arm that some models came with. Ford Rangers have the same style "J" hook and the wiper blade comes with an adapter to fit correctly. That's essentially what the bolt on adapter they sent me is. A "J" hook style adapter that bolts onto my straight arm wiper blade.

No. It's still ugly. How about an ice cream cone? That'll make me forget about it for a few.

the oem blades still work find on my truck, and look fine. Toyota still sells oem wiper inserts for like 10 bucks.

These are what I use.

I think they are a little over two years old now and still work fine.

The books typically show the right side blade an inch or two longer than the should be. I don't know if this accounts for the raised seating position but it definitely doesn't sit right, in a resting position the wiper "per the interchange book" sits proud of the glass due to its length.

Huh?
How does it sit where?
Did I install the arms incorrectly?

No matter how "new" I think the blades are it never fails to leave a streak right in my view every time it rains. Maybe I'm just getting confused as to which vehicle I last replaced the blades on or maybe the Alabama summers are cooking the rubber dry. Our rainy season starts right after the summer and can last until spring. I definitely think our weather is shortening the lifespan of the wiper blades. Maybe I should just replace my blades on Nov. 1st.

The drivers side has the new silicone blade and adapter installed. The passenger side still has the OEM style wiper arm and wiper blade. I may have the passenger side one tooth off as I just had the motor out a few months ago. The adapter plate makes the silicone wiper sit under the wiper arm. That's what my brain keeps focusing on.
