truck/4runner fender compatibility

is there a difference between the front fenders on a 94 2wd pickup and a 95 2wd 4runner? I found a guy selling both of them in great shape for 30 bucks, but I dont know if they fit -- my 4runner has to giant rust holes in them...

you rock - thanks for providing the pictures --

That just might be worth doing - in fact I may even have some corner lights at the house ...

Thanks Again,

They are exactly the same , what people are meanning is that there are differences between 4WD and 2WD . But you stated that they are both 2 WD.

JustinKing- I'm interested to know which fenders your 2wd 4runner has? The ones like the 4runner pic posted above, or the p/u??

On the few 2wd runners i have seen, the only way i could really tell they were 2wd was because of the missing diff/CVs.

So justinking - the 2wd pickup fenders are going to be narrower and have the parking lights 'upside down' compared to the fenders on your truck. Not sure about mounting, though i would imagine that you would be able to mount them just fine. Never took about my old 2wd, so i'm not positive.

I'm sorry , I have a 90 4runner 4X and a 92 Xtra Cab 4X , The whole front clip is exactly the same. My BAD I ASSUMMED that it being a 2 WD would have made it a 2 WD front end. Where are the rust hole's ? If there around the fender over the wheels , you could mount some fender flares for cover.

I do apparently have the 4wd fenders -- The rusty areas are to the top rear of both fender wells, passenger side is about 2 inches above the chrome trim and the driver side is about 3 inches higher.

I thought about some fender cutouts, but that might look goofy without 4wd and lift. I have thought about going to a 31x12.5 for a little bit wider look.... That might work well together, but I would rather just replace them I guess. I have a passenger side fender that I can use(its red) so I should probably just find the other and have them painted. My concern is the pinstripes(if you can call them that) would not look good..

I would take goofy over rusty , but I dont think they would look all that bad. There is a thread on here about some fender flares from thailand , might check them out.

hmm.. I dont like it.
I was never a fan of how the rear fenders/box where flared out but the fronts where not.
Seemed like they cheaped out on that one.

Sorry to tread jack, but will 8x-88 4wd p/u fenders fit a 89 4wd 4Runner? Thre are like zero 1st gen runner fenders round here, but have found a few trucks of the same year range...

It should since the pickup didn't change over till 89.
They will be very close if not exact fit.
