dunno if thats what its called but, i have some play in my driveshaft up by the xfer case it moves up n down about 1/4 inch or so plus i can kind of hear it grinding when im driving...question, how hard would it be to replace? if it can be replaced will i have to take it out of the truck to do so? and what is that proper name for this bearing? so i dont look like a ratard at the parts store thanks guys

rebuilding a RF1A T-case isn't that hard. A press and a really good pair of snap ring pliers, and assorted sockets and wrenches it can be done in a weekend. Marlin used to have a how to on their site. If you are gonna tear it down, might as well go ahead and rebuild it. I got a really big piece of cardboard, and numbered each step, and put that piece on that number, and took a few pic of questionable areas.

I think it is called a rear output shaft bearing.

so i gotta take alot of stuff apart to get to the output shaft bearing? i dont have the cash to do a whole lot i just dont want it to go out and do any destruction... ill take a gander around marlin n see what i find..
