Tranny Swap???

I have an 88 4runner 3.0 that has a bad auto tranny. I aquired a 93 t100 3.0 that has a 5 speed thinking I could rob the tranny and all the other things needed to do the swap. I recently found out that the t100 had eletronic speedo and the 88 4runner has a mechanical speedo.

My question is what year models have the mechanical speedo in a 5 speed?

I really want to put a straight shift in this 4runner!!!!

If the sensor is the only problem, and thats a BIG if, you should be able to just swap the sensor...ie keep your old sensor.

The part that goes into the tranny or transfer case is the same on the two I have. Well except for the number of teeth on the gear. But I just swapped them out and it works fine.
