Tie rods?

My ball joints on my IFS are in good shape I know that, the Idler arm is new with idler arm brace, but the steering stops seem to be more "catchy" than the usual noisy when in full turn. They were lubed too. My front tires also seem to have a little bit of play despite the new idler arm. Could this be the tie rods then? OR what other front IFS component would you look at?

How is the steering stabilizer? I pulled my OE stabilizer and it was completely broken into 2 pieces.

This is how I knew my tie rods were shot. Leave the front tires on the ground and shake the tire from front to back while your head is inside the fenderwell looking down at the tie rod ends. If you see play or hear clunking...thats the probable cause.

I can see play in my tie rods when I jacked up the truck I bumped the tire while under it and the tire moved and so did the outer end of the tie rod and nothing else is that the norm?

Just look at where the tie rod attaches and barely wiggle your tire back and forth...if the part where the tie rod attaches to is moving but the tie rod isn't moving the linkage at all...its the tie rod. It can go all the way to the idler arm if ya don't notice where its coming from initially.
