Ok, my 89 V6 4WD 5spd truck had a very high idle while at stop signs or at a red light. Figured out that it was the throttle cable, the white plastic piece that connects to the gas pedal was slipping off and not letting the cable back all the way out. So I put some silicone lube in the cable housing and that fixed it so far. I would like to replace the throttle cable my self, which looks fairly simple except for just getting into the area where it is located. I’m having trouble finding the part number of the throttle cable for my year and model truck when I did a search on here. Does any one have the part number for the throttle cable on my 89 V6 4WD 5spd truck? Also is there anything I need to be careful with I attempt to change the cable?
